You’ve probably thought about India at some point—seen the photos, watched the films, and listened to the incredible stories of those who have travelled there. Now is your chance to experience it yourself, in the company of Jasen Boko, a traveller whose favourite destination is India and who will gladly share his fascination with you. He will guide you through the most captivating parts of the subcontinent—from magnificent landmarks like the Taj Mahal, to the chaotic street life often avoided by classic tours, and on to the mesmerizing sacred places for those seeking spirituality, such as Pushkar and Varanasi, along with the Buddhist site of Sarnath.
Throughout the journey, you’ll hear the magical greetings Namaskar and Namaste countless times, discover the essence of India, and understand why British colonialists once called it the “jewel in the crown.” From the narrow, vibrant streets of Old Delhi, home to Asia’s largest spice markets, through Jaipur—the heart of mystical Rajasthan, where forts are reached on elephant back—and onward to Pushkar, a mythical town by a sacred lake on the edge of the desert, which we will enter on camels, you will experience what Boko calls an “assault on all senses.”
Next comes Chand Baori, one of the most beautiful medieval stepwells in Rajasthan, followed by the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, once a magnificent Mughal capital built in a stunning blend of Persian, Indian, and Islamic architecture. We continue to the world’s most iconic monument to love, the Taj Mahal, before heading to Lucknow—the real, non-touristic India—culminating in a stay in Varanasi, India’s holiest city, on the sacred Ganges River.
You’ll also discover India’s extraordinary gastronomy: tikka, tandoori, chapati, naan, paratha, and masala specialties in restaurants, or the exotic flavors of street food—kebabs, chapatis, dal bhat, and thali. Many dishes you may have never even heard of will soon become familiar, and you’ll learn to ask for them “non-spicy”… just in case.
The noise of megacities, surreal desert towns, magnificent monuments, bustling bazaars, the scent of spices in the air, the taste of Indian cuisine, henna-decorated hands, nose piercings of young Indian women, and colorful saris—all of this is India. An experience that changes you—for the better.
Discover and experience magical India on this adventurous journey with a traveller who has spent over a year exploring the country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and who authored the book “Life and Death on the Sacred River.” Jasen Boko, who combines India’s classic highlights with spirituality and vibrant street life, will be your guide.
As he says: “India is a complex symphony—sometimes divinely perfect, and at times completely atonal and incomprehensible. This country is simply unlike anything you have ever known, and it should be accepted and embraced as such.”
Two weeks in India—a place that is more a state of mind than a country—will transform your travel experience. It may be your first visit, but very likely not your last. Because, as Jasen Boko puts it: you don’t go to India—you return to it.

Day 2 (02.11.2026.) NEW DELHI City tour
After completing customs formalities, transfer and accommodation in a hotel in Paharganj, the most interesting old part of the city. Delhi, the capital of India with more than 20 million inhabitants and an urban tradition older than three millennia, destroyed countless times and rebuilt from the ashes. The legendary capital of the Pandavas from the Mahabharata, Delhi is today, together with its newer part New Delhi, a multi-million city that never sleeps. It was the center of numerous cultures and empires that ruled India, each leaving its monuments behind. Today Delhi is a cultural jewel, and its old part consists of neighborhoods of narrow streets, tightly packed shops and bazaars that are a constant assault on the senses with their smells, aromas and colors: the scent of masala spices and incense sticks, aromatic oils and exotic dishes mixes with the vivid colors of saris and the calls of vendors. However narrow the streets are, cars, rickshaws, taxis and overcrowded buses all move through them at the same time. In the midst of everything, cows calmly, undisturbed by the loudest car horns in the world, meditate over their meal, whether it is discarded newspapers, a plastic bag, a cabbage leaf or an apple from a street vendor’s stall.
After rest at the hotel we set off to explore the old part of the city. As we spent the night on the plane we will not overdo sightseeing on the first day, it will be a relaxed afternoon. We begin by exploring Chandni Chowk, the craziest part of fascinating Old Delhi, by cycle rickshaws (optional), the only means of transport that can pass through the narrow streets. We will walk through the scents of the most famous and largest Asian spice market Khari Baoli. We continue to Swaminarayan Akshardham, the most attractive Hindu temple in all of India, after which we go to New Delhi, the newer part of the city designed by the British in 1931. Conceived as a garden city of symmetrical streets and wide parks, New Delhi reminds many of Europe. Tombs, mausoleums, avenues, summer houses and shady alleys are all remnants of the British vision of India. The grand boulevard Rajpath stretches to India Gate, a lively gathering place for Indians where we will stop, and of course you will see cobras enchanted by the music of their “master”. We will also see Rashtrapati Bhavan, once a royal residence and today the home of the current President of India, Droupati Murmu. In the evening we will also visit one of the most important Sikh temples Gurudwara Shri Bangla Sahib, known for its continuous prayer, beautiful artificial lake, and tens of thousands of free meals served daily regardless of religion, social status, caste or beliefs. If you are hungry simply come in. Overnight.
Day 3 (03.11.2026.) NEW DELHI City tour
After breakfast we continue with optional exploration of the city. We begin with a visit to the jewel of Mughal architecture Humayun's Tomb (UNESCO). We will also visit the museum of Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi, the place where he lived the last months of his life and where he was assassinated during a morning prayer. To show that India is not only street chaos, as it sometimes seems, we will have coffee and cakes after lunch at one of the popular places of the middle class and wealthy Indians. In the late afternoon, when it is most beautiful, we will visit another fascinating site, the minaret Qutub Minar built in the 13th century, which with its 72.5 meters is the second tallest minaret in India and is rightfully on the UNESCO list. Overnight.
Day 4 (04.11.2026.) NEW DELHI – JAIPUR (Rajasthan)
After breakfast we travel by bus to the royal city of Jaipur, the heart of Rajasthan. Accommodation in the hotel. Rajasthan, a land of contrasts. Magnificent valleys and mountains, lakes and deserts, a strong culture and a bloody history in which maharajas often fought on opposing sides, for or against the Mughal emperors in Delhi. Many palaces today have been converted into hotels. The city was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, carefully planning its regular layout, so Jaipur, which you will see why is called the Pink City, is probably the most beautiful in India. Colorfulness, luxury, unusual clothing, sellers of everything imaginable, henna tattoos, heat and exoticism, all this is Jaipur. Free afternoon for a light walk through the city. Those who wish can optionally join Boko for dinner in a typical local restaurant with Roma musicians and dancers. Do not forget, Rajasthan is the homeland of the Roma who spread around the world as eternal nomads. Overnight.
Day 5 (05.11.2026.) JAIPUR (Rajasthan)
After breakfast we go on a full-day optional tour of Jaipur and its surroundings. After the Palace of Winds Hawa Mahal we continue to nearby Amber, a fortress-city older than Jaipur. Today it is a palace complex located on a high rock which we will reach riding elephants, by jeep or on foot if you prefer. Visit to the complex and the unavoidable Mirror Palace Shish Mahal. We continue with the spectacular City Palace, where the current maharaja and his family still live. Nearby is the observatory Jantar Mantar (UNESCO), where in the early 18th century Sawai Jai Singh II built 19 instruments for observing the stars, including the world’s largest precise sundial, all still functioning perfectly. In the evening we go to the photogenic Jal Mahal to witness the colors of sunset. Overnight.
Day 6 (06.11.2026.) JAIPUR – PUSHKAR (Rajasthan)
After breakfast we continue by bus to Pushkar, one of the sacred places visited by every Hindu and one of the oldest cities in India. Pushkar is truly special, many myths describe the creation of the sacred lake around which the town is located. Accommodation and rest. Afterwards we walk through narrow streets and join evening rituals at the lake. Overnight.
Day 7 (07.11.2026.) PUSHKAR (Rajasthan)
After breakfast we walk along the lake to the Brahma Temple, one of the rare and most important in India. Those interested in spirituality can perform puja rituals. Pushkar is ideal for relaxing and wandering through bazaars and streets. In the late afternoon optional camel safari into the desert and evening program with music and dinner. Overnight.
Day 8 (08.11.2026.) PUSHKAR – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA
